Travel has been a huge part of my life since I started my career at just 16 years old as an apprentice with Thomas Cook. Since then, I’ve spent my entire career in the travel industry, working in retail travel and specialising in tailor-made holidays, multi-centre trips, weddings and honeymoons. I’ve always loved creating unforgettable experiences for people and helping them discover the world in a way that feels personal to them.

After taking a few years away from the industry to become a stay-at-home mum, life looked a little different. A lot of that time was spent in and out of hospital with my little ones, which completely changed my perspective on travel and family life. During that time, I also planned our own wedding abroad in beautiful Cyprus for us and 50 guests - an experience that reminded me just how special travel can be when everything comes together perfectly.

In May 2023, I launched Sun Sea Gluten Free, which has quickly become the biggest part of my business. Around 85% of my clients are coeliac or gluten free, something that’s incredibly close to my heart as my daughter is coeliac herself. Because of this personal connection, I understand how important it is to feel safe, relaxed and confident when travelling. I spend a huge amount of time researching hotels, resorts, cruises and tours, gathering real feedback and recommendations so I can confidently match clients with the right holiday for their needs.

What I love most about this industry is the people. Over the years, many of my customers have become loyal repeat clients and, in many cases, friends too. I genuinely care about every booking and believe you get a completely different level of service when you book with someone who is passionate about what they do. I’m constantly learning through training courses, exploring new destinations and visiting hotels personally whenever I can - although my husband still isn’t convinced it all counts as work.
